According to media outlet reports on June 8, singer, actress, and former IZ*ONE member Kim Min Ju has been offered a role in MBC‘s upcoming historical romance drama, ‘Joseon’s Ban on Marriage‘ (working title).

If cast, Kim Min Ju would be working alongside Kim Young Dae, Park Joo Hyun, Kwon Hyun Bin, etc. It will also mark Kim Min Ju’s return to acting for the first time in approximately 3 years, after her independent film ‘The Fault Is Not Yours‘ in 2019.

Based off of a popular web novel of the same name, ‘Joseon’s Ban on Marriage’ is a fusion historical romance and tells the story of a young king who orders a decree banning marriage in Joseon after losing his wife. One day, a conniving woman claims that the spirit of the deceased queen has entered her body, and shows up in front of the king.

 

‘Joseon’s Ban on Marriage’ is expected to air on MBC some time in the latter half of this year.  Besides the news, Boa Kpop and Dreamcatcher Kpop are preparing for their project.
